Once again London’s most famous Lane is set to embrace itself for the most happening event on the London’s calendar. More than 60,000 visitors are expected to decend upon London’s Brick Lane on Sunday, 10th September for the highly acclaimed global mix of music, food, history and culture that make up the Brick Lane Festival. Hailed as one of the biggest and most exciting cross cultural street parties, this year’s Brick Lane Festival promises to be even bigger with a fantastic line up of events including:
The stage is set for EMEP’s ‘I Love Brick Lane’ Fashion Show. Sew-East is one of EMEP’s unique one stop programme catering for and supporting the clothing sector in London through the provision of extensive business advice, guidance and counselling, not to mention the specialist networking events and workshops. At the ‘I Love Brick Lane’ fashion show there will be a stylish display of cutting edge ethnic fashion from the east end’s leading designers, presenting their collection from Urban wear from ‘Born in 72 to ‘Junky Styling’.

FOOD
Good food has always been one of the lynch-pins of the Brick lane festival and this year is no exception. The Lane’s numerous curry houses will be showcasing their wares with personal food stalls to give passing visitors a taste of the diverse mouth watering curries. For those that don’t like curry, take heart, the ‘Festival Food Village’ in Dray Walk will be providing a range of foods to suit every taste, and ofcourse there is always Brick Lane's famous beigels.
KIDS STUFF
Fun fair rides, kids workshops, make up stands, stilt walking workshops, a climbing wall, Spitalfields City Farm, clowns and jugglers all welcome you to this year’s festival.
SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE
Off stage, the festival aims to have something to suit everyone. Check out the delightful range of street entertainers, dhol players, string bands and theatre, music, stilt walkers, slap stick comedy, open historic houses and lastly not to mention Club Mum; a chill-out Zone for mums and kids. All these will all ensure that every visitor leaves the festival with a smile on their face.
The main stage show finishes at 6.30pm but visitors are welcome to carry on enjoying themselves at selected local venues including the renowned Vibe Bar, 93 Feet East and Rhythm Factory until late into the night. Follow the coloured signs to the venue of your choice.
