Restaurant Name: Bengal Cuisine
Your Name: Carl Robbins
Comments: I was most disappointed by my visit to Bengal Cuisine. The service in particular was extremely poor, as we were bullied into trying to order more food. We were then rushed throughout the meal and given no sense of being a valued customer, with barely a thank you as we left. The food was reasonable, but the whole experience was unpleasant.

Comments: hot vegetable selection, fresh ingredients...marsala dosa is nothing like authentic kerala version and should be avoided. Service slow and waiters see no need for charm.

Comments: Served a flat diet Coke, and when I complained I was told that it was from a fresh bottle. When I asked for another bottle to be opened as this one was flat they declined and said that coke from bottles doesn't have as many bubbles as a can! Asked for the bill (after just poppadums and one drink) and they arrived with a fresh bottle of diet Coke! Insisted on the bill, and was given a total only. When we asked for a breakdown they had tried to charge us for the flat drinks. Service is shocking, tablecloths dirty, tried to rip us off. Don't go there.

Comments: Mr grumpy waiter. Great vegetable side dishes and rice. Marsalla Dosa should be left to Southern Indians, because it was like an imaginary 1960's Polish attempt at Pizza...just so WRONG! It'll be hard to get my teenagers to go Indian again.
Service slow, with no attempt at charm or helpfulness. We got charged for a rice they didn't deliver. They deducted it without explanation or apology. £2.90 for 75cl Perrier at room temperature is just incompetant even with ice and lemon.
Customer service is really nil stars. No tip left.

Comments: Preem is a different food venue in the heart of Bricklane and would be an ideal evening out for anyone with a keen taste for Indian or Ethnic food, with a little Bangladeshi flavour ! Although it's very noisy and crowded,it might be appealing on the right day and time. There are many Restaurants, but as an Asian Londoner I found the food and atmosphere quite new at Preem !

Restaurant Name: The Shampan

Comments: Had dinner here with 3 friends ealier this week. Food was excellent. Ordered a wide variety of dishes. I ordered my usual benchmark chicken tikka jalfrezi with muchroom bhaji, others ordered fish, vegetables, etc. All food was very good, not overcooked or greasy which is a change. Menu features many unusual options, so plenty of scope to try something different. Interior of resturant a bit grubby, though seen much worse in this part of London.
